Introducing ‘Forever Change’ – a comprehensive, highly interactive and impactful staff training program developed by DANS

As of August 2025, over 100 DANS Leaders across the Province have received ‘Forever Change’ training, with 100% positive feedback/endorsement for their future staff deliveries. Forever Change includes customised imagery, videos and group activities to engage all learners. It brings the music of voice and choice for all the people we support.

Forever Change explains the journey into community living across Nova Scotia and how we work with the human rights model of support.

Diverse Abilities NS Responds to Provincial Budget Announcement

Diverse Abilities NS applauds government’s commitment to ensure persons with diverse abilities in Nova Scotia have more opportunity to participate in employment and their community, as evidenced by this week’s budget announcement (Tuesday, February 25, 2020).

Budget 2020-21 includes an initial investment of $7.4 million to create 50 new placements, twenty five for participants who are transitioning from larger residential facilities into community-based residential options and twenty five for participants on the service request wait list,
